The Openness Foundation makes use of donations in order to enable the following activities.
1. Providing information
The secretary and the PR-team provide information about the various activities, the publications, etc. to all who ask for it. Each half year a small Program Book is created, a bi-weekly free e-mail Advaita Post. Additionally, a full website has been developed and is kept up to date.
2. Organization of the activities
Advaita talks (satsangs) are organized every Wednesday evening, except on school holidays. Day, weekend and weeklong retreats are held at several locations in the Netherlands.Additionally, people can take part in days of silence and meditation-evenings, and make an appointment for an individual talk with Douwe Tiemersma.
3. Housing
Since August 27, 2006 the Foundation rents a space in the building at Fluwelensingel 53, Gouda. That is the Advaita Centre in which most of the activities take place.
4. Publications
In May 2000 the Advaita Centre Publications was established. See the Publications link in this website to view the list of publication. TheFoundation makes extensive investments in these publications.
It also distributes audio-CD's of the talks.
5. Library and literature service
Everyone can borrow books from the extensive library. A literature service has been developed (articles, specialized lists, summaries, etc.). They belong to the Centre of Advaita Studies.
6. Supplying subsidy
If, due to a reduced income people cannot take part in the activities, the Stichting can supply them with a subsidy.
Everyone can donate to the Stichting Openheid / Advaita Centre in order to assist it in realizing its aims. Donors regularly receive information of the activities of the Stichting. There is no minimum amount for a donation. With a yearly donation of at least € 320,- (€ 26,67 per month) one has a free access to the Advaita evenings. If you want to donate to the Book Fund (Publications), the Housing Fund or the Subsidy Fund you can indicate this on the bank transfer form.
