Study and Practice - introduction PDF Print

‘Study and Practice’ was established in 2004 by the Advaita Program of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. It is the section of the Advaita Center in which research and training are done. These activities are bundled together in different thematic groups which are focussed on a deeper insight into the tradition and meaning of non-duality and its integration into different sectors of society.

At this moment there are the following themes:

Knowledge of non-duality

Health, Healing and Sickness and non-duality (inc. psychotherapy and psychiatry)

Work, management and non-duality

Youth: relaxation and insight

Non-duality in poetry and prose

Yoga and meditation


Each theme is explored by a workgroup in which the members actively contribute.  One of the members is the coördinator.
The overall coordination is guided by Dr. Douwe Tiemersma.
Anyone who would like to contribute can register via  the secretary or the coördinator of a particular thematic group (see the separate theme listing).
