The advaita teaching and psychotherapy seem to partially overlap each other. The relationship has been studied in recent years. Through this process questions arose about the relationship between the advaita approach and psychiatry and other spiritual healthcare issues. Several methodological and substantive issues also required an elaboration. Each of these themes have received a category below.
